Park Springs to Celebrate 5th Anniversary

Oct. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Park Springs, the Southeast’s leading continuing care retirement community will celebrate its fifth anniversary in grand fashion on October 17 with their own version of “It’s a Wonderful Life” red carpet anniversary party. The night will include an award ceremony, champagne toasts and music featuring artists from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Members will be recognized in various photo montages that will include newspaper clips, ground breaking and various activity photos.

Since opening its doors in 2004, Park Springs has enjoyed steady Member growth. Recently however, the community has seen rapid growth including 12 new Members this quarter alone. Currently, the continuing care community is home to 550 Members and 108 interest groups.

“We have seen steady growth not only in our membership, but also in the level of interest groups and activities on site over the past five years,” said Joan Carlson, vice-president of Quality Innovation and Culture for Isakson Living, the developer of Park Springs. “We have wonderful Members who stay very active. It has been our goal since day one to create an environment for our members to thrive in mind, body and spirit and I think the word is spreading about our quality of services and care and I think that is reflected in our recent Member numbers.”

Due to its growth, the community created more space and activities for its Members in 2008 by adding a movie theater, pottery area and member meeting rooms. More office space was also added to accommodate the community’s full time Geriatrician and her practice as well as Park Springs’ growing home care program, which serves individuals in Gwinnett, DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb and Forsyth counties.

“We are constantly engaging and listening to our Members, their goals and what they need,” said Carlson. “Our job is to help facilitate whether through physical space of new programs or services. It is our ultimate goal to offer only the finest facilities and amenities for our Members. We are the only continuing care retirement community in Georgia to offer a full time Geriatrician on staff”
