Sister Circle London has answered the call from many professional black women across the UK and launched a free membership organisation specifically designed to meet their needs. Sister Circle London, is a professional development, support and advice organisation specifically for experienced, enthusiastic and talented Black women of African and Caribbean descent working in all sectors of the economy and who have the ability, ambition and desire to become tomorrow’s corporate leaders.
Sister Circle London exists to support women of colour develop their expertise and ensure that they are able to achieve their goals and break through the glass ceiling.
Sister Circle London focuses on developing women by providing a cross section of specialised and sophisticated events, meetings and online coaching, including the following:-
· Sister Talk events: A range of lectures and workshops delivered by senior professionals
from all backgrounds. The events are designed to have a clear impact on building
personal effectiveness and enabling participants to view difficult situations from multiple
perspectives.
· Sister Dine meetings: Dinners and networking opportunities for like minded women to
share their board-room experiences.
· Sister Stepping up: Providing a range of online case studies where other women hear
from their contemporaries.
In addition Sister Circle provides advice, from a qualified life coach through their monthly Sister Advice column.
Founder Angela Rweyemamu says, ‘Sister Circle was born out of a need to celebrate
and support the many professional women I come across on a daily basis. Sister Circle
London is unique, as we are solely here to identify and celebrate the potential future
‘stars’ within many organisations. My role is to ensure that our members can further
enhance the contribution they already make to their employers’.
