While Docmail is not completely immune from the Royal Mail strikes, as we do a lot of the work normally carried out by the Royal Mail, Docmail can reduce the impact of the strikes!
With normal post, Royal Mail collect the post (from companies, post offices and post boxes), take it to their sortation centres, sort the mail, trunk it to their ‘inbound mail centres’, and then hand over to the postman for the ‘final mile delivery’.
At Docmail we print, enclose and sort your mail, and then deliver it to the inbound mail centre for the final mile delivery. As the CWU is proposing strikes that affect certain parts of the Royal Mail network at different times to cause maximum disruption, when strikes are affecting the sections before the inbound mail centre, they won’t affect Docmail.
Docmail is delivered under a Condition 9 access agreement with Royal Mail - as such, our mail goes direct to the mail centre.
So, although not strike proof, Docmail has much more chance of delivering your mail on time!

Notes to editors
Created by CFH Total Document Management, Docmail was the first online mail solution to reach the market over four years ago. Since then, Docmail has evolved to meet the needs of the wider market, and over the last twelve months has been successfully growing its customer base to both businesses and members of the public.
