Sans Soucie Art Glass can be found in casinos, academic institutions, theatres, hospitals/ medical centers/ physicians’ offices, churches and synagogues, restaurants and various celebrity homes/attractions across the nation.
Growing up in the family business, Chauncey W. Gannett learned the skill and technique of art glass. With plans of becoming an engineer or architect someday, this future world renowned glass artist decided to do just this, but with a more creative approach. He started applying his natural talent and creative skill in art, engineering and design to the beautiful avenue of art glass.
Sans Soucie Art Glass work is present in both luxury homes and commercial projects with a diverse range of products such as door glass, all glass frameless doors and entries, tubs, entry and interior windows, shower enclosures, free standing dividers, booth and area dividers, custom signage, art glass murals, tables, floating bar tops, vanity tops, curtain walls, ceiling glass, sculptures, mirrors and more.
Recently recognized as a creative voice in Decorative Glass Magazine, Chauncey describes his company’s niche as “specializing in creating custom sand-carved art glass within a budget that other companies can’t always compete with. For example: with the Bank of America tower in Manhattan, the architects wanted specific custom texture for the lobby and elevator surrounds (nearly 400 panels of it) the glass was ½” laminated Starphire™ clear glass with one surface acid etched, then on top of the acid etching was a custom sandblast carved design in a tree bark effect pattern. We were able to do this from California, beating out companies in Europe and the east and west coast in the bidding process.”
