Hazardous waste tracking and disposal has become a major concern for businesses and industries. A new configuration of Autoscribe's Matrix Tracker system has been created to address the needs of people involved in tracking waste. Until now, most systems targeted at this application were either custom written and therefore expensive to support and hard to upgrade, or were commercial systems that delivered some of the required functionality, but were very rigid and difficult to change.
Matrix Tracker is built using the extremely powerful and easy to use configuration tools that are an integral part of the system developed and delivered by Autoscribe Ltd. There is no custom code to support and no special scripts to write. It delivers most of the functionality required for waste tracking straight out of the box. However, as each organization has some specific needs, they are satisfied by changes to the configuration files rather than by using custom code. Every Matrix Tracker system has the same source code. All definitions of screen appearances, menu designs, terminology, workflows and reports are contained in the configuration files.
Systems are fast to implement, less expensive to support, easy to upgrade and future proofed as new business needs can be addressed by additional configuration.
