The first of Terrys Fabrics’ trinity of new sites is to be launched in October 2009. The leading online fabric retailer has produced window dressing triplets with specialty products for curtains, blinds and poles to augment the sales and traffic of their own items through the sub-brands. After extensive updating of their own site over the past year they have created the additional three with the online expertise in fabrics and homeware sales they have subsequently developed.
Window dressing is familiar territory for Terrys Fabrics and the new sites will benefit from their years of experience as leaders in the online retail fabrics industry. Appealing to browsers looking for specific window treatments, be they curtains, blinds or poles, Terrys hope that traffic generated by the individual sites in the trinity will convert to sales. Terrys have not ruled out further expansion and the creation of more sites to create a network that will feed back to the central core though they are optimistic this may indeed happen. There are no details yet of any time frame for this particular venture which at the moment is simply speculation.
The first of the new sites will be launched in October just in time to take full advantage of the traditional rush for homewares in the lead up to Christmas. However 2009 is not the period upon which judgments will be made; Terrys anticipate that Christmas 2010 should see strong returns as by then the new site will have had a year to establish business and its reputation.
