SALT LAKE CITY --Open Table, operator of www.opentable.com, the world’s most popular website for online restaurant reservations, has named Log Haven as a “Best Restaurant to Feast with Your Furry Friend.”
The acclaimed fine dining restaurant was singled-out for their “Dog Days of Summer” promotion that runs from June through mid October. Now in its second year, “Dog Days” invites dog lovers and their well-behaved pooches to enjoy dinner in Log Haven’s beautiful outdoor amphitheater. Here, human diners can order from the seasonal menu and enjoy a special menu of canine-themed cocktails while their dogs are offered dog treats, fresh water and even a “K-9 kabob.”
Open Table diner Kathleen Bratcher, her husband, and their dog Bella gave Log Heaven’s seasonal American cuisine and canine hospitality a rave review. She says, “We were offered spacious patio seating, cool water, high-quality dog treats in a stainless steel doggie dish, and brass-plated dog tags with ‘Log Haven’ embossed. They also offer a reasonably priced dog meal created by their chef, Dave Jones, and a special cocktail menu for adults with a refreshing ‘Salty Dog.’”
Margo Provost,Log Haven’s Owner/Operator (and “mom” to Berlin, a German Shepherd) adds “ ‘Dog Days’ was a natural evolution for Log Haven. We’re right in the middle of cool, green Millcreek Canyon, which is a mecca for hikers and their dogs who are escaping the heat of the valley. We thought, why not invite diners and their well behaved dogs to stop for a meal and enjoy our lovely forest? It's been very successful from our perspective, both in terms of driving traffic and showcasing Log Haven's more casual, outdoorsy side."
