Laurel, MD - Black Bag Productions, a full service event planning company based in Laurel, Maryland will host a showcase of bridal vendors featuring Diamond Designs Fashions, LeMon Delights Bakers, Moss Photography, Black Bag Travel, Ardyss Body Magic and many others on Saturday, November 14 at the BWI Embassy Suites Hotel, 1300 Concourse Drive, Linthicum MD, starting at 2:00pm in the JFK Meeting Room.
Black Bag President Kim Moss notes that hosting this event focused on brides of color and "repeat" brides who are looking for a bridal event that isn't the normal duplication of vendors came from attending the larger shows that weren't focused on the bride who may be older or going to the altar for the second time. Moss noted that "those shows are just crazy crowded and seemingly eveyone is showing the same thing with very few vendors actually offering something different. I wanted my bridal event to be a mini-mall that was comfortable to move around in, offered beautiful selections and a lot of fun for the attendees." One of Black Bag Productions favorite vendors, LeMon Delights, generously offered to donate a wedding cake for 75 to be raffled off during the event. Diamond Design Fashions based in Capital Heights MD is providing fashions for the event, live make up makeovers by Cherries Bloom and Mary Kay,Tracy Lynn bridal jewelry, Body Magic and Ardyss products, along with Sandals, Couples honeymoon specials and more. Moss, who planned her own wedding in August 2005, found it challenging to find the right style and look for her second wedding. “Being over 45 at the time was already challenging to go into David’s Bridal and try on dresses that didn’t make me look crazy and clueless about my age – everything is really directed toward to the under 30 crowd and I wanted to have an elegant affair.” While planning a client wedding this past August, Moss decided to create a magazine targeting the same audience she was a member of and found other colleagues who recognized the same need.“ Brides are already nervous about their wedding day and are looking often to make sure they have a day to remember, that they look fabulous and that they have spent wisely doing it. I wish there had been an event targeted for women like me when I got married in 2005!” We will showcase products from the Ardyss nutrition and Body Magic clothing line; photographers, make up artists, florists, caterers, bakers and more as well as unveil our new magazine, Black Bag Bridal.
The event, which is open to the public, is the perfect opportunity to become familiar with and meet the vendors in person, ask questions and try products. Tickets are $20 per person and available until November 7, however, seating is limited.
