Psytechnics CTO to speak at VoiceCon San Francisco

Portsmouth, NH - October 13, 2009: Psytechnics, a leader in voice and video performance management for managed service providers and enterprises, today announced its sponsorship at VoiceCon San Francisco 2009, November 2 - 5, 2009 at the Moscone Convention Center.  

Psytechnics CTO, Dr. Mike Hollier, will also be discussing how and why traditional QoS (quality of service) based network, VoIP, and video management tools just don’t cut it when it comes to managing service levels from a user quality of experience perspective.

Dr. Hollier has been a pioneer in ‘perceptual engineering’ for over sixteen years, developing Psytechnics’ unique technology behind its ability to measure, diagnose, and report the impact of network transmission and voice/video application problems on users’ quality of experience and enabling IT support organizations to work much more efficiently and effectively when it comes to supporting real time IP based communications services.  

Between 1987 and 1999 he held a number of positions within BT; directing their research into audio, video, and multi-media performance assessment. He is a Chartered Engineer, two time winner of the Alan Rudge Award for Innovation, a fellow of the University of Essex, and member of the IOA and AES.
