PGA Pro Kenny Knox hosts sold out golf tournament to benefit Washington Area Chapter of Childhelp

Childhelp's Second Annual "Kids on Course" Golf Tournament was held on October 5, 2009 at the International Country Club in Fairfax, VA. All proceeds from the sold-out event benefit Childhelp's child abuse treatment and prevention programs.
 
Oct. 13, 2009 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, DC – Childhelp’s Second Annual “Kids On Course” Golf Tournament was held on October 5, 2009, at the International Country Club in Fairfax, VA.  Hosted by PGA Tour Professional Kenny Knox and WJLA ABC 7’s Rebecca Cooper, Anchor of Washington Business Tonight, the tournament sold out and surpassed the previous year in donations and sponsors.

Christin A. T. Klaff, (Reston, VA resident)President of Childhelp’s Washington DC Area Chapter , was very pleased with the second annual event, commenting,
"I am thrilled with the generosity of our sponsors and participants, during a difficult economy."

All proceeds benefit Childhelp’s child abuse treatment and prevention programs in the greater Washington area, including a Virginia residential treatment program and the Childhelp Children’s Center of Virginia.

The event brought over 130 Washington area corporate leaders, top executives and Childhelp supporters together.    

The First Place team, with a score of 104, was comprised of long time Childhelp supporters; Dandy Korzeniewski, Bootsie Humenansky, Suzanne Cannon-Pierce & Chris Libonati, all residents of Great Falls, VA.

The day began with golf instruction, swing tips, and a question and answer session for the Title Sponsor, Lehman Smith and McLeish, conducted by PGA Tour Pro Kenny Knox. Knox was born in Columbus, Georgia and played golf at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.  Career highlights include Champions Tour T16th in 2006 at the Administaff Small Business Classic. Knox ranks T43rd in Best YTD 1-Putt or Better Strk on the Champions Tour.
