The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok Recognized for its 5 Star Hotel Standard
Maj. Gen. Sanan Kajornprasart, Deputy Prime Minister (right) recently presented the plague of 5-Star Thailand Hotel Standard to Mr. Charles Jack, General Manager of The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok (left) at the Thailand Tourism Standard 2009, held at The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre.
The ratings program was originally initiated to provide hotels in Thailand with a classification from one to five stars in line with global standards and is organised by the Foundation for Standard and Human Resource Development in the Hospitality Industry.Westin was among the select 10 entries this year to have met criteria set by the Foundation for Standard and Human Resources Development in the Hospitality Industry. Participating agencies in the foundation include the Thai Hotels Association (THA), Tourism Authority (TAT) and the Association of Travel Agents (ATTA).
