Follow on Google News | Louisville Bar Association Presents Pretrial Publicity: How Much Is Too Much?Preserving a individual's right to a fair trial necessarily entails some curtailment of the information disseminated about their case prior to trial, particularly where a trial by jury is involved. So how do we balance these competing principles?
By: Louisville Bar Association The first of two programs in the LBA Presidential Series, Pretrial Publicity will host a distinguished panel of journalist and legal professionals including retired Supreme Court Justice Martin Johnstone, WAVE-3 television anchor and reporter Janelle MacDonald, legal reporter for The Courier-Journal Jason Riley and University of Louisville Associate Law Professor Susan Duncan who will present their own unique perspectives on this volatile topic.
