As a recently become member of the NGN IMS Forum™, Testing Technologies took part in the eighth NGN IMS Plugfest™ (October 5 to 9, 2009) at the InterOperability Lab (UNH IOL) in Durham (NH), USA.
The NGN IMS Forum Plugfests are interoperability events covering converged IMS and NGN services over wireless, wireline and cable broadband. Plugfest 8 focuses on Interoperability for voice and multimedia applications, DIAMETER, BSS/OSS and Security inter and intra network.
Testing Technologies showcased Interoperability Testing between CSCF, HSS and AS with their test automation platform TTworkbench. This tool provides a stimulus (simulating SIP clients/UAs)
Within their TTsuite product line, Testing Technologies supplies TTsuite-HSS, a conformance and interoperability test framework for Home Subscriber Server (HSS) implementations. Testing HSS, the main database in IMS architectures, is being indispensable. It is the only server containing sensible user and service data like authorization, accounting or roaming.
TTsuite-HSS supports 3GPP release 6 and 7, providing 88 test cases for all kinds of procedures (location management, user data handling, authentication, subscription, and notification)
Users are able to perform standards-based testing according to Diameter specifications. Based on the technology-independent test platform TTworkbench, TTsuite-HSS can be rapidly integrated into existing test environments. You can expand your test suite by writing own test cases with the available editor. TTsuite-HSS assures fast and simple test execution and analysis, repeatability of tests, and provides all kinds of test automation features.
Testing Technologies was represented at the NGN IMS Plugfest™ by its business partner Teraquant, a test solutions and systems integrator based in Mountainview, Colorado.
