Catholic Invention? No It Is All in The Bible!

In his new e-book Rock Steady, Scottish author E.P. O'Neill takes fundamentalists and evangelicals on at their own game and uses The Bible to show that Roman Catholic doctrine is found right there in the pages of The Good Book.

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 10, 2009 -
Rock Steady first establishes the fact that there can only be one true Church and then procedes through Catholic doctrines, from the Sacraments to the Perpetual Virginity  and Queenship of Mary, the Papacy, Purgatory and Liturgical Worship and shows an undoubtable Biblical mandate for them all, creating a must read for Christians of all denominations.

The author issues a challenge to all Christians to look more closely at their faith in order to establish the truth as left by Christ. For Catholics, the challenge  to develop a deeper understanding of Scripture, and for non- Catholics to examine the Catholic point of view, because he maintains criticism is born from misunderstanding.

O'Neill said. "I used Scripture as the basis of my challenge to non-Catholics because it is their language.  To argue from Sacred Tradition or Magisterial Teaching would be a bit like speaking in English to a Martian.  So this book is written on their terms.  For Catholics there is no need for Scriptural ignorance given the structure of the Liturgy"

The point of the book is first and foremost to establish that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true Church from Biblical sources, but it also points out that the Catholic Church is leaking hundreds of thousands of members every year to evangelical and fundamentalist campaigns, simply because Catholics, in general are not aware of the Scriptural roots of their faith. Rock Steady also contends that the non-Catholic doctrine of sola scriptura are nowhere to be found in The Bibe because the formatoin of Scripture would, in essence, require an established Church.  In other words the Church existed before The Bible.

O'Neill commented. "There are two things Catholics don't do well. Sing and evangelise. I can't do much about the singing, but every Catholic should be able to defend their faith on any terms. The problem is that they don't know enough about The Bible and are easily swayed by slick evangelicals. Rock Steady is intended to encourage deeper Scriptural devotion in Catholics, and to challenge non-Catholics to examine not only the true teachings of the Catholic Church, but also their own beliefs in the light of Scripture."
