Award-winning writer and producer Frank Spotnitz is giving fans a rare opportunity to sit down and talk screenwriting and all things “X-Files” while raising money for a number of worthy charities. Fans have the chance to win a “Meet and Greet” with the writer just prior to the “Celebration of The X-Files” charity event being hosted by IBG Inc. on Saturday, 14 November 2009 at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Spotnitz’s participation in the event is in support of The Santa Monica-UCLA Rape Treatment Center (RTC). Over the last year, RTC has campaigned to eliminate the backlog of untested rape kits and for faster analysis of DNA evidence. Information regarding RTC’s work will be available at the event.
Frank Spotnitz wrote or co-wrote more than 40 installments of "The X-Files," including the Emmy-nominated "Memento Mori". Other awards accorded Spotnitz for his work on "The X-Files" include three Golden Globe wins for Best Dramatic Series, a Peabody Award, and three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. In addition to “The X-Files” series and films, Spotnitz’s credits include "Millennium"
Founded in late 2008, host organization IBG established an official non-profit campaign focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a wide range of charities worldwide. IBG acts as a “fundraiser facilitator”
