How does Kryptofile work?

Kryptofile Lite uses strong encryption to protect files that contain personal, confidential and financial information. Protected files are completely unreadable to anyone who does not have access to the Kryptofile security key that was used to protect them.
The Kryptofile security key is a USB memory stick which must be attached to the PC when reading and protecting files. Each Kryptofile licence is provided with a unique security key. Using an AES-256 key guarantees that no two licences share the same security key.

SECURE. Kryptofile uses AES-256 which is the latest certified strong encryption process to protect data. The U.S. Government (NSA) announced that AES is secure enough to protect classified information up to the top secret level. The protected files cannot be read by anyone unless they have access to the security key and therefore the protected file content is secure even if the protected files or the PC are stolen.
FLEXIBLE. Kryptofile can be used to protect PC files of any type and size. These files are saved on the PC and can be copied, moved, renamed and attached to e-mails just as any normal PC files.
Very easy to use. Kryptofile integrates into the Windows file browser. The file browser menu is updated to include a command to protect files and another to open them.
EASY TO INSTALL. The installation is completely automated and does not require any technical knowledge or experience. Kryptofile can be installed and used on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7.
