However, they must give adequate notice - one day’s notice for each day you require the employees to be available for work.
For a staff member making a last minute holiday request, the law says the employer is entitled to ask for two days' notice for every day of leave requested. So if your employee wants to take two weeks off, she should have given you four weeks' notice.
