Gossip Girl is a show that that portrays the lives of privileged teenagers who attend a private school in Manhattan's Upper-East side. The main cast of the show includes Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen,Leighton Meester as Blair Waldor, Ken Badgley as Dan Humphrey, Chace Crawford as Nate Archibald, and Ed Westwick as Chuck Bass.
The show is largely based on a popular book series of the same name. Leighton Meeter and Blake Lively have the lead roles in the show.
Serena van der Woodsen is a renowned party girl who returns from an unexplained stay in a boarding school with a noticeably lower-key demeanor. Even so, her arrival arouses the competitive spirit of alpha female Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), a predatory junior with a snobbish demeanor.
The show is very popular in the United States and the Philippines. It has begun gaining notoriety in other parts of the world as well.
