The Instrument:
Tabla is a pair of drums. It consists of of a small right hand drum called dayan and a larger metal one called bayan. The rhythms found in this collection are as follows:
Kerva (8 beat), Roopak (7 beat), Dadhra (6 beat), pop, dance, filmi, punjabi and other various ORIGINAL improvised loops.
Folder Details:
6 Beat - "Dadra"
Contains fills, and 6 beat rhythmic loops. Dadra is most commonly found in Hindi/Bollywood films and songs.
7 Beat - "Roopak"
Contains fills, and 7 beat rhythmic loops. Roopak is most associated with romantic songs, ghazals and light compositions etc.
8 Beat - "Kewra"
Contains fills, and 8 beat loops in the following rhythmic styles:
- Bollywood Style Loops
- Bhangra (Punjabi) Style Loops
- Ghazal/Pop/R&
- Basic 8 Beat Styles
Each rhythmic loop described above has its own set of accompanying fills (stop & go) to give the loops a "ive" and "real" feel to your production.
Hits, Licks & One Shots:
Contains individually sampled tabla hits, tones and samples. This allows a producer to create songs like Timbaland where you could combine a tabla hit with a kick etc.
