Individually, the poems explore the irreducibility of otherness, worrying at the experiential and communication chasms between people, blasting apart relations between writer and reader, artist and muse. They suggest that the required word is at best misheard, and rarely said. Yet the artifice shortens this distance, insists upon linkage, and posits that if art cannot redeem the event, there is at least a consolation in the archive.
This is a collection of love, life and the enjoyment of both, when we have them.
