The attraction has introduced a 10 per cent discount scheme for students in its art bookshop.
The Gallery's shop stocks the most recent publications on contemporary art, photography, applied art, architecture, fashion, design, art history and theory.
A range of magazines, greeting cards and postcards is also available.
Swansea Council is behind the scheme and students simply have to produce a student ID card to benefit.
Jenni Spencer-Davies, Glynn Vivian Art Gallery Curator, said: "We are looking forward to our art bookshop making a difference by offering this special saving for students in the city.
"These are difficult economic times for many and it's great we're able to give students a bit of help with their studies.
"This scheme is sure to suit those studying art in colleges as well as university students."
For a limited time only the Gallery will also be offering a 20 per cent discount on selected art books and exhibition catalogues for all to enjoy. With a range of publications available, visitors will be sure to find something of interest.
The discount schemes come in the build-up to a new exhibition that starts at the Gallery on Saturday October 10.
The exhibition includes new work focusing on bridges from around the world where Swansea artist, Tim Davies, has erased all traces of the background in images of them to reveal only the structures themselves.
Tim Davies has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally and was the winner of the Mostyn Open Prize in 1997, the National Eisteddfod Fine Art Gold Medal in 2003 and the Richard and Rosemary Wakelin Purchase Award in 2005.
He was also shortlisted for the prestigious Artes Mundi prize in 2004.
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: "The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is renowned for the quality of its exhibitions and is very pleased to present this new work by Swansea based artist, Tim Davies.
"Bridges are among the most beautiful and iconic structures in the world but people don't often get the chance to see them without the influence of their backgrounds and locations.
"This will be a fascinating insight into what they can symbolise in our world today."
