Oct. 8, 2009 - PRLog -- Author Patricia Volonakis Davis, member of Women’s National Book Association and The California Writers Club, announces that Susannah Greenberg, of Susannah Greenberg Public Relations, and also Women’s National Book Association NYC Publicity Chair, will represent Patricia as her new publicist. Susannah is working hard to help promote the re-release of Patricia’s book, Harlot's Sauce: A Memoir of Food, Family, Love, Loss, and Greece (Coming November 2009)

To celebrate the re-release of the book with its new cover, which features more book blurbs by best-selling author Kemble Scott, (SoMa, The Sower) a number of lovely print and web reviews, and an awards seal from USA Book News, the author decided to do something a bit different than the usual author recordings. So, she asked three extraordinary actors ─ Gaetano Iacono (Doughboys, Twist of Fate), Maryann Maisano (founder of the girl comedy team/band, The Italian Chicks), and Anthony Skordi (Vanessa Redgrave’s Moving Theatre Company) ─ if they would participate in this project with her.
Each of them recorded in their own separate studios, which were scattered everywhere from Los Angeles, to San Francisco, to New Jersey and even via Skype from Staten Island! They were then all mixed onto one track by producer Bruce Foster, who also added clips from the Harlot’s Sauce theme, “Sex in Athens” by Treatment of Saints Aviators.

Says the author, “I feel blessed that I had all these talented people to help me with these podcasts, because they truly helped bring my story to life.”

Podcasts are on Patricia’s website at: www.patriciaVdavis.com and are currently being made into videos, with photographs, drawings and graphics, the first of which has already been posted on YouTube at this link:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9esU5VHSJc .

This month Davis will also be participating in the California Writers Club Centennial Celebration– “We Know They Can Write, But Can They Sing?” on October 18, 2009, along with 16 other authors at Book Passage in Corte Madera (www.bookpassage.com) and speaking on a panel at The Redwood Writers Conference on October 24, 2009 at the Flamingo Hotel and Resort in Santa Rosa.
