Plans are continuing apace for this year’s Dylan Thomas Festival (26 October – 9 November).
Tickets for events are being snapped up – particularly for Cerys Matthews’ intimate session at the Dylan Thomas Centre on 27 October at 1pm – and the festival’s international appeal was shown once more when visitors from Australia called into the Centre yesterday to book tickets.
The Poetry Society’s giant knitted poem is likely to be on display in Swansea as part of the festival. The poem will be revealed today in London, and more details on the project, which is part of the society’s Centenary celebration, can be found on their website: www.poetrysociety.org.uk/

The Dylan Thomas Centre’s bookshop will be open until 7.30pm on event days throughout the festival, and the Centre’s bar will be offering a special menu of two meals for £8.50 on Tuesdays to Saturdays.
