The two-week teleclass (SB102) Fundamentals of Canine Behavior available to participants worldwide, will cover Understanding Canine Behaviour: The Alpha Misconception, Understanding Canine Aggression and Fear, and Introduction to Calming Signals. The course is scheduled to be held October 12 and October 19 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Central Time.
“Participants will learn how dogs interact and what causes aggression and fear, the leading behaviour problems in canine companions today,” said Carol Schultz, founder of Animal Spirit Network.
The first of the two teleclasses will provide participants with a solid ground and understanding of canine behaviour. The second teleclass will focus on developing a successful behaviour modification program based on the understanding of what rewards are successful in training canines. Participants will also learn how to implement reward systems into the canine household, conditioning behaviours with a cue, and how these tools will work.
Karla McCoy, owner of AnimalTell, is a canine behavior consultant with extensive background and knowledgeable experience specializing in dogs that are fearful, shy, and stressed. She has developed her own program based on 25 years of working with dogs, and studying psychological theories and positive training techniques. Karla is also an experienced Veterinary Assistant, and incorporates Shamanism, Feather Energy Work, and Human/Animal Life Coaching into her practice.
