Are you set to get discharged or retire from the military? Do you have all your ducks in a row to make sure that you have a smooth transition out of the military? What about health insurance? Do you have a secure job when you do get out? How about your family, will they be alright after the military? All these questions have to be answered even before the thought of getting out. Sure, inside you can be saying, “I’ve got my ducks in a row, I’ll find a great job that will pay me twice as much as my military pay.” In this down economy, who knows if you can ever get that great paying salary like the military.
Hi, my name is Galvin and I’ve been down that road before. I was in the US Navy for about six years and those questions mentioned above were answered with an emphatic, YES! I was a US Navy corpsman and served with the marines in Camp Pendleton – where I served last in my military career. I was in your shoes, a veteran who was very anxious to get out of the military and make better for myself. Sure, I went to college, University of Maryland University College (UMUC), and was awarded my business degree. Did I get that dream job I always wanted which would make my military pay look like peanuts? Did I even get a job shortly after getting my business degree? The short answer is no! No, we admire your service but you do not have enough experience. Not enough experience…I was in the military fighting a war in Iraq. Or, sorry we are currently not hiring we are actually downsizing due to the down turn of the economy. I later found out that I was competing with people with far more experience than me. These were people who were laid off in huge companies such as Boeing, GM, and other huge firms which were affected by this recession.
If there was one thing that I learned from the military it was to adapt and overcome. First of all, I know how it is out there. After getting out of the military, I became an instant dependant to my active duty wife. She is also in the US Navy and a corpsman as well. When we were overseas I confronted a problem of trying to find a job. I followed the proper steps and visited the Human Resource office at least three times a week to follow up and as well as applying for other jobs. I also volunteered to get my name out there and make myself more competitive but nothing seemed to work.
I started to think getting out of the Navy was a mistake.
Of course, the military in me told me to stop feeling sorry and just do something about it! I overcame this hurdle by taking action. Setting fear and worry aside and taking actions. First thing I did was go to my PC and do some research on home business opportunities. I wanted to create my own wealth as well as set my own hours so starting a business would fit me very well. I’ve searched Multi Level Marketing (MLM) companies offering various products but nothing to really jump up right at me. I’ve looked at many franchises such as Subway, Taco Bell, L & L Barbecue and many more but wow , who has $250,000 just laying around to start a franchise. Not me so I moved on. I looked at hundreds of online businesses and noticed an occurring pattern. The start up capital is just a fraction of the cost of owning a franchise. One opportunity that really jumped at me was an opportunity that had an awesome compensation plan. Though I no longer have this business, I created over $10,000 per month just showing targeted prospects my business opportunity. From the moment I earned my first $1000 in one day, I saw the awesome potential and I had an “Aha!” moment. That’s when my eyes lit up and learned as much as I can to further my education with online business opportunities.
Wealth in the internet is limitless however you can really get lost when it comes to doing business online. In fact, 97% of all online businesses fail because of one significant problem, not knowing how to market. How can you have the right people looking at your business when there is no targeted traffic to speak of? The business owner quickly gets discouraged and simply gives up. Or how about trying to figure out Pay-per-click (adwords), Web 2.0, social marketing, affiliate marketing and so forth? I figured it out but it was nothing short of easy. I struggled for months and had a lot of sleepless nights. When I finally figured it out, I was relieved that all my efforts were not in vain. It took several months and I finally started earning my thousand dollars in just one day and consistently made $10,000 per month! It was my breakthrough and I finally broke the code for creating wealth in the internet.
Though, I was creating wealth, my business partners were not. The internet was simply a challenge and it was too much to learn at one time. As much training and mentoring I offered and done it was simply a challenge. This created many problems because most online businesses are not duplicated and this bothered me. The simple fact that I was making money and the rest were not is not a great feeling at all. Duplication is key to having success in your business and that is when I moved on and looked for one that is.
Ridiculous as it sounds I found the answer by using postcards! Yes, I know, it doesn’t make too much sense right now but it will. You see, to eliminate the learning curve for online marketing, I started to use postcards as my main source of advertising. With postcard advertising, you are sending postcards to opportunity buyer prospects and getting them in front of your business system. You do not worry about Pay-per-click or any online marketing. You simply plug in a system of ordering a list of names and have a print company send and lick all the stamps to your postcards. For you, this takes no more than 5 minutes. Duplication to my team has been established. My typical week consists of sending about 1000 postcards ($500) every week and converting about 1-3 sales out of these mailings. Each sale in the business cost from $500-$7500. This business is really converting in spite of the current economic condition. However if getting in business will cost every single dime you own, I recommend you not to even look at this right now. This is a real business and it should be treated like one. I can confidently recommend this program to someone who currently has a job or someone that does not but who has some extra money to jumpstart their business with the first few mailings. As of today, I have created four gold sales ($14,000) in two months and business is continuing to pick up momentum. This business is only three months new (from this post) and what is great about the business is that our team is duplicating. All we are doing is sending postcards on a weekly basis. Don’t get me wrong, you can choose to do both online and offline marketing but the point is that the system can be duplicated.
Why am I calling out the military community? It is because I can relate to the challenges that occur on a daily basis. I was once there, not knowing what is next after the military. I was also there when I became a military husband dependent trying to make ends meet and trying my best to contribute to the family’s income. I have a special place in my heart with the military. I am what I am because of the military. I traveled all over the world because of the military. I have served with the best group of people while in the battlefield and it is all thanks to the military. I want to serve the military again but in a different way. I want the military community to know that there is a way out of the rat race and there is a way to start working from your base housing and start creating wealth. I’ve done it and I always say that if I can do it why not you.
