She has this to say: “We’re very excited with this new website launch, as we have been working hard on it for the past six months, designing the new t-shirts and planning the website. The fruits of our labour have already started to show. Some of MagicEel’s products were actually sold even before the site was officially launched, and this makes us think that consumers are really going to enjoy our products.”
"In this society where everything is moving faster than the speed of light and everyone wants to wear something different and unique, we hope MagicEel will be able to provide apparels and products that cannot be found anywhere else and give the wearer an outlet to showcase their creativity and sense of humour,” she continues.
Her inspiration for each piece of artwork came from daily life occurrences and random thoughts, resulting in pencil sketches on moleskin notebooks, ink on napkins in fast food restaurants, snapshots from digital cameras, as well as doodles on mobile phones. All these were then digitally enhanced and transferred onto every product in this site. “Every design here tells a story, a story in which we hope to share with you,” says Bei.
Visitors to the website can select from an extensive collection of designs, and choose from more than 200 styles and colours. Designs can even be specially customized with text to each shopper’s preferences. MagicEel’s products range in prices from US$1 to US$30.00. Apparels such as t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and sweaters are available in men’s, women’s and kids’ styles.
