FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Oct 07, 2009 – BOULDER, Colorado — Tea Spot, Inc. is proud to announce its collaboration with Casting For Recovery (CFR) by encouraging customers to reel in the “Steep It Pink” gift set.  The Steep it Pink gift set includes includes large tins of Meditative Mind & Snowflakes white tea, two hot pink Tuffy Steepers and free ground shipping on the entire order, and retails for $36.95. For every “Steep It Pink” gift set sold in October, The Tea Spot will donate a gift package to CFR containing a Steeping Cup and a tin of pure, single-estate Snowflakes white tea. The Tea Spot is inspired by medical research suggesting the benefits of green and white teas in increasing the body’s immunity against the onset and recurrence of breast cancer. For this reason, the company has chosen its Snowflakes white tea, as it retains the highest concentrations of EGCG polyphenol antioxidants, which research shows may help prevent against breast cancer.1
The urgency for public support for programs such as CFR becomes increasingly clear in light of the American Cancer Society’s most recent estimate that about 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in 2009 in the United States. For every Steep It Pink set purchased by The Tea Spot’s customers, a gift package valued at $26.94 will be sent to the women participating in CFR. The Tea Spot is pleased to include its customers in its advocacy for inspirational cancer wellness organizations such as CFR, in hopes to increase public consciousness and support of breast cancer. As a company, The Tea Spot is committed to incorporating a culture of giving into every sale it makes. So far this year, The Tea Spot has contributed over 700 tins of antioxidant-rich white tea and more than 100 Steeping Cups to help the charitable community fuel the continued wellness of cancer survivors.
