She attended the University from 1991- 1995 and loved every minute of her stay.  It is only fitting that she share her experience and success blueprint at the very place it started, Johnson C. Smith University.  People from near and far return to Charlotte during homecoming weekend to gather and remember the many memories at the school.  This year fellow Smithites can enjoy the book signing of one of their own, Nicole Balaam.  

As the author of The Fortitude Factor: Stop Dreaming and Start Succeeding, Balaam emits that if you want to put your dreams into action and discover that the impossible is possible, then this book is your blueprint for success. She is the founder and creator of B-Risqué Fitness. Her dreams of being an entrepreneur began at a young age in Baltimore, MD. She always knew that she would one day run her own company. Balaam has been the first of many things including being the first person in her family to graduate from a University.

The Fortitude Factor is about living your personal or entrepreneurial dreams. You must believe that you can handle the mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously. You must use adversity and obstacles to help you dig deep into your core strength to get past difficult times. This ability will allow you to conquer your fears and walk down your path of greatness.
