Warwick Ventures is excited to chart the growth of China's investment banks. While there has been a burst of U.S. companies coming to market for the first time in the past few weeks, China has has unprecedented success over the course of this year.
Senior analysts at Warwick have been paying close attention to the rankings of investment. Two Chinese banks, China International Capital Corp. and Citic Securities, have risen to the t No. 1 and No. 2 spots. It is the first time Chinese banks have broken into the Top 5 of global IPO book runners since Dealogic began tracking public offerings in 1995.
"There have been 75 Chinese companies that have gone public in 2009, three times as many as the IPOs completed by U.S. companies," Jeffery Samuelson reports, citing the Wall Street Journal. China's IPO volume accounts for half of all global IPOs this year.
