Thailand set to launch Medica Tourism magazine for international distribution

PR Log (Press Release)Oct 07, 2009 – The overseas distribution of Medica Tourism magazine is scheduled on the first week of November 2009 through the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Regional distribution includes medical and healthcare institutions, wellness, hospitality, travel and tourism industries, as well as support sectors of the health travel industry.
The Medica Tourism magazine contains articles and interviews with industry leaders and professionals. Interested overseas patients as well as industry practitioners will find practical advice on cultural and interpersonal relations in the clinical setting, assessing ecological improvements of business practices, developments in news, research, products and technologies. Biographies of Thailand’s best doctors and physicians as well as stories of patient experiences in Thai hospitals are featured. The magazine includes service offerings in healthcare, travel, recuperation and wellness available in Thailand.
The magazine may include adult content, and the publisher strongly recommends adult guidance for minor readers.
“This magazine is for professional adults only. Certain health or medical material in this magazine may be explicit. Please do not use this magazine if you would find these materials offensive,” said Mr. Chatree Niramitvijit, Secretary-General of the Health Travel Industry Research Society based in Bangkok.
The full-color, 120-page glossy is distributed each month to more than 60 countries throughout the world through the Kingdom’s embassies and consulates, chambers of commerce, trade promotion offices and tourism information centers.

The Medica Tourism magazine is a project of the Health Travel Industry Research Society (HTIRS), an organization that disseminates information for the improvement and promotion of the medical tourism industry in Thailand.
