Stamford – Katalin Goencz, co-owner and director of Stamford-based MedBillsAssist, a medical reimbursement advocacy firm, joins fellow Professional Women’s Alliance of CT (PWA-CT) members in presenting a free workshop on the topic of divorce at the New Canaan Library, 151 Main St., New Canaan on October 15 from 7 – 8:30 pm.
Divorce is a devastating experience and it’s only too easy to feel overwhelmed. Having a team of professionals to guide you through not only makes the experience easier but often leads to outcomes more appropriate to your needs. This workshop provides a supportive, informative forum where participants can ask questions and get answers about investments, medical insurance, financing issues, emotional healing, spiritual healing as well as practical marriage and divorce concerns.
Attorney Karen Stansbury and financial planner Elizabeth Cox launched PWA-CT in 2008 in direct response to the rampant fear, confusion, lack of trust and misinformation they were witnessing among many clients going through divorce. The New Canaan Workshop is one of many workshops that dedicated PWA-CT members offer throughout the year in order to provide thoughtful and specialized assistance, to women in particular, as they navigate their way before, during and after divorce.
Workshop panelists are all PWA-CT members and include New Canaan Financial Advisor Catherine Avery, Norwalk Holistic Psychotherapist Caroline Temple, Westport Mortgage Broker Karen Mulreed, Monroe Clinical Aromatherapist and Registered Nurse Karen Goldstein and Fairfield Attorney Karen McCormack.
