Jr. Miss California Intl 2010 Claire Wright, and Dedria Brunett, Miss Teen California Intl. 2010 will be speaking at Forest Lake Christian School tomorrow morning at 9:00 about their platforms, Acres of Hope and Luggage of Love. Claire Wright is 13 years old and Dedria Brunett is 17 years old. Claire Wright has worked with Acres of Hope, a renewal center for homeless mothers with childern for three years. Dedria Brunett initiated the program Luggage of Love which donates luggage to foster childern. Wright and Brunett, both new California titleholders have decided to join forces and work together to initiate the Luggage program in Placer County. Lugge of Love also is supplying luggage to the graduates of Acres of Hope, a two year program. The most recent graduation was October 4, 2009. Wright and Brunett will be delivering luggage to Acres tomorrow for Stacey and her two boys who are now on living successfully on their own. Dedria was a foster child in the system for many years, and promised herself that one day she would supply luggage to foster childern so that their belongings would not have to be carried in a plastic bag due to budget. Claire Wright has worked with Acres of Hope for three years, helping with the childern so that the mothers can attend classes at Acres to learn life skills. There are currently 16 childern under the age of 3 years old at Acres, and two older childern. There are ten mothers, with max capacity at 12 moms. Both Wright and Brunett have incredible stories of success and living a life that matters to others. They have both made a choice to make a difference in the lives of others and are working hard to do so. Pretty awesome for a 13 and 17 year old!
