Cornwall, New York: With the visit of Cornwall native General David Petraeus days away, the Dragons Den Deli hosted The Marine Corps Tribute Bike and the Cpl. Joseph S. Tremblay Tribute Fund (http://americanveteransaidfund.com/
Flanked by new United States Marines, Pfcs Brandon Johnson and Kurt Turner; St. Thomas of Canterbury second graders, Caitlin Denman, Edward Suarez and Erin Kelly joined the community in honoring The Marine Tribute Bike and the forty-eight U.S. Marines it represents. The students presented a framed, personalized poster of The Marine Tribute Bike to “Mr. Eric” of Eric’s Barbershop, located next to the Dragons Den Deli on Main Street in Cornwall.
“We gave the poster to Mr. Eric because he will respect it and place it for everyone to see, not just hanging in my room,” said Erin Kelly along with her classmates.
Straight from their Friday, October 2, 2009 graduation from Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina, local Marines Pfc. Johnson and Pfc. Turner added great dignity and honor to the presentation and the memory of the forty-eight Marines killed in Iraq that The Marine Tribute Bike represents.
