The car is currently the project for TheGentlemanRacer.com that covers a number of subjects including vintage racing, automotive product reviews, and road trips. The Fiat has been dubbed "Project Budget Elise" as the goal of the project is to build a car that can compete with a new Lotus Elise for less than $5,000. "We have been pretty good at getting the weight down, currently we are pulling the Fiat drivetrain out and replacing it with a much more powerful and modern engine and transmission" said Michael. The team from TheGentlemanRacer.com hope to take the car to the Silver State Challenge, Several Road Rallies, and to compete in the Red Line Time Attack Series.
