The countdown has officially begun for the 4th Annual Lab Cab Festival. This year, we decided to shake things up by holding the festival on Halloween weekend!
Established as one of Toronto’s most diverse and exciting festivals, Lab Cab is made up of acts ranging from two to 40 minutes and includes a range of expertise in each field: from well established artists to those beginning their careers.
On October 31 from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m., Lab Cab will have a diverse line-up of performers and acts including Chris Stanton’s, The Red Room and acclaimed filmmaker, Arturo Perez Torres who will present a short film.
"The Lab Cab Festival is different because it embraces all artistic disciplines under one roof. It’s free for the public and the performers are paid to participate,"
Created to engage the entire community, the festival’s goal is to provide a pressure-free environment for artists of various disciplines to experiment with new work. This year’s festival offers another component, the Recovery Cabaret on November 1 - from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Factory Theatre – where festival goers can interact even more with the performers.
“Lab Cab is a place for anyone at any skill level, at any point in their career, to come and perform in front of an audience. This venue gives new and old alike the opportunity to raise awareness to their craft and engage the public," states Lab Cab Artistic Producer, Andre du Toit.
The fourth annual festival will take place on October 31, 2009 and adds a Halloween theme to the rumoured-to-
