Council Magazine’s Fall 2009 issue features an expanded runway section. It showcases fashion shows around the capital region, including DC Fashion Week, Maryland Fashion Week, Baltimore Fashion Week, designs by Washington, D.C., native Greg G. Taylor’s Walish Gooshe line, as well as area swimwear competitions.
Also in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there is an interview with Maimah Karmo, founder and president of Tigerlily Foundation. Tigerlily, based in Reston, Va., is an organization that provides education and support for young women affected by breast cancer.
This issue’s featured photographer is Washington, D.C.’s Christopher Brady, a portraiture photographer whose work graces the cover of the Fall 2009 issue. In addition, Council places the spotlight on a noteworthy photographer from Los Angeles, Orada J. Each issue also includes the Councilette and CouncilHunk of the season, a hot man and a hot woman to make you sweat.
