Empezar Telematics Laboratories (P) Ltd, on Monday launched its state-of-the-
art GPS based Passenger Information System & Taxi Management System - "EmpTrack II & III" in Jaipur followed by a press conference and is planning to take this to the rest of India. The system is a creative extension of ETL's EmpTrack I - "GPS based vehicle/fleet tracking system" and is believed to be a boon not only for regular commuters (passengers)
but also for public transport service providers & Taxi Service providers operating in the city. ETL is an innovation centric, high-tech firm and first of its kind in India, where out-of-the-shelf high-tech, innovative & custom technologies are indigenously engineered to make a perfect solution meeting customer's (both corporate & individual) needs.
Mr. S Pandit, CTO – ETL said, "GPS tracking is a well known concept and is being extensively exploited in developed countries for many different purposes; but it is recently, that India's telecom infrastructure has matured to a level that the technologies (GPS, GIS, GPRS etc) required to make EmpTrack - I, II & III work are finally reliable."
He further adds, "ETL decided to develop & launch EmpTrack as its first product, from among its other proprietary & un-seen products, so that it can setup a benchmark for contemporary technologies and establish faith among Indian customers for its upcoming products. EmpTrack has been extensively tested for a duration of 6 months under a pilot project, for which it was installed in fleets of Transporters in various cities. EmpTrack helps in securing (theft prevention) mobile assets, increasing efficiency (route monitoring, auto alert on deviation, ETA), reducing costs (fuel/gas-monitoring)
and ensuring proper utilization (real-time tracking and detailed past reports) of one's fleet (buses, trucks, taxis etc).”
