VIITALS bakery offers gluten-free foods with the added benefits of all-natural ingredients & protein

The Bulgarian bodybuilder and NPC Tampa Bay Classic overall winner explained that though his new store front sells snacks and baked goods, they can be considered meals because all major food groups are included – protein, carbs, and fats.
The bakery had been operating as a wholesale gluten-free bakery for the past five months. The opening of the storefront, Nikolov said, now makes him not only a wholesaler, but also a retail gluten-free café.  
“With no sugar and high-glycemic index sweeteners used, VIITALS snack recipes were developed to provide steady energy levels and optimize short-term performance abilities,” Nikolov stressed. “VIITALS baked goods contain the highest-quality protein available, while being absolutely safe for individuals with gluten intolerance and other common food allergies.”
Nikolov added that the snacks at the retail storefront are ideal for those with Celiac disease, food-related allergies, those who require a balanced snack or food on the go, the elderly who need additional protein, and those who simply want to live a healthier lifestyle.
Whatever the case maybe, the opening of the gluten-free retail storefront could prove to have perfect timing.
According to a recent study conducted by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., celiac disease is almost five times more common today than it was 50 years ago, and if the disease goes undiagnosed, it is associated with nearly quadrupled mortality rates.
“Some studies have suggested that for every person who has been diagnosed with celiac disease, there are likely 30 who have it but are not diagnosed,” says Joseph Murray, M.D., the Mayo Clinic gastroenterologist who led the study.
Another study by the University of Marylend, published in the February 10, 2003 edition of Archives of Internal Medicine finds that one out of every 133 Americans may have celiac disease.
"We now believe that more than 1.5 million Americans suffer from celiac disease, making it twice as common as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and cystic fibrosis combined," says Alessio Fasano, M.D., the study's principal investigator and professor of pediatrics, medicine and physiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Though those stats may be shocking, VIITALS Bakery’s new retail storefront hopes to play a major role as part of the solution.
“Not only are my products gluten-free, but they are made in a dedicated gluten-free facility, and they are hypoallergenic, vegetarian or completely vegan, all-natural with many ingredients that are organic,” Nikolov said. “On top of all that, I balance my foods by adding protein, thus making them a complete meal as they provide all food groups that the body needs, not only fat and carbohydrates, with high levels of sugar like the conventional baked goods.”
