The Mankind Project and Woman 2 Woman, Kentuckiana Organizations presents their 3rd Annual Community Talent Show Fundraiser and Silent Auction. Saturday October 10, 2009. Tickets available at door day of show Only. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. and show starts at 7:30 P.M. at the Church of the Advent, 901 Baxter Ave Louisville, KY 40204. Adults $10, Children 12 and under $5, *Small toddlers and infants FREE. All proceeds to benefit Mankind Project and Women 2 Woman, Kentuckiana. These organizations strive through personal growth training to help men and women discover and live out of their best, authentic selves in all aspects of the lives.
MKP & W2W created this show venue so that everyday men and women from a wide variety of backgrounds have the opportunity to connect with their creativity (that normally goes un-noticed) as they share their special talents and “ACT OUT” with their families and their community, while raising funds to benefit the Mankind Project and Woman 2 Woman Organizations. As children we all danced, sang and played, as we matured most put those joyous, playful ideations on hold in order to develop careers and to raise and support their families. So for “one night only” this unique show allows participants to stretch into those areas of expression that either they had not before or since they were young. For those who wanted to participate in other ways, we added the silent auction so that visual artists could have a venue to be seen. The silent auction features the beautiful works of local artists and/or gift baskets and certificates of professional services.
This is an opportunity which people of all different levels of ability put their hearts and creativity out there for the community – while raising funds, awareness and allowing the audience to learn that there can be more to a person that just being defined by what they do for a living. This 3rd Annual Talent Show and Auction will feature comedic monologues, dancing, singing, poetry, and much, much more! Bring the entire family out Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Church of the Advent, located at 901 Baxter Ave., Louisville, KY 40204. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. and show starts at 7:30 P.M. Adults $10, Children 12 and under $5. Auction items may be previewed and bids placed prior to show. Winning bidders can take their items home that night.
