Female entrepreneur riding high after two top awards and a trip to the House of Lords.

Oct. 5, 2009 - PRLog -- An entrepreneur from Newcastle is celebrating her second business award after just five months of trading. Emma Reilly (28) of Chapel House will be presented with her business commendation award at a ceremony taking place at the House of Lords later this month.
Emma, who suffered from acute social phobia, started her internet marketing and design company, Fizz Bang Interactive, after finding it difficult to gain full-time employment. Within just a few months, Emma was a finalist in both the ‘If We Can You Can’ challenge and the Leonard Cheshire ‘Ready to Start’ business awards.  
Emma will now travel to London on October 26th to be presented with her ‘Ready to Start’ commendation award. The event, which is sponsored by Barclays, honours individuals who have overcome mental or physical disabilities to start a new business.
Emma started Fizz Bang Interactive after helping a number of family and friends to get their businesses online. “I really enjoyed the creative aspect of building websites” she said, “but I also really seemed to do rather well at getting them noticed by customers. My family encouraged me to try and start a business providing these services professionally. I never imaged however that I would end up travelling to the House of Lords because of what I do. I’m truly excited”.
Fizz Bang is now looking to expand after securing several major digital marketing contracts throughout the UK. “From being in a situation where I was scared to leave the house, to now travelling around the country to work on projects involving household brands has truly been a huge change for me” Emma explained. “Now I’m just looking forward to the future and growing a successful business here in the North East”.
