Cachet Software Solutions ("Cachet") today announces the formal launch of the eyeShare IT Critical Situation Management software in the UK. An Israeli-developed product, eyeShare is the first such solution for IT and is being currently used by a number of leading international clients such as Amdocs, Elite-Strauss and Checkpoint as well as having partnerships with leading systems integrators such as HP-EDS.
Stuart Kenley, MD of Cachet says "eyeShare is attracting a lot of interest from leading UK IT shops such as Barclays, Vodafone, BT and several others, and we expect first users of the system to be announced very soon now. In addition we have already signed partnerships with leading SI's and these include HP-EDS".
The eyeShare product can cut mean-time-to-
Kenley adds "we want to allow key IT staff to get an SMS from the software and make a decision at home in bed, and then allow eyeShare to continue the recovery process automatically - this will be ideal because the user still feels involved and in control of the recovery, but doesn't have to be inconvenienced by having to log in from home at unsocial times".
Cachet's eyeShare product offers workflows and dashboards that allow for all the aspects of recovery that can be automated, to be carried out by the software, while allowing key IT personnel to be informed and allowed to make critical decisions in the recovery work - using SMS, email, IM or voicetext, or indeed any other communication method. The dashboards show IT management an at-a-glance overview of all critical IT recoveries in process, with Service Level timeouts for escalation and many other features designed to shorten recovery times and keeping to Service Level Agreements ("SLA's").
The system can save £ millions per annum for mission-critical IT shops by cutting business system downtime or reducing problems in areas such as performance or network failures. In addition it can react to other emergencies such as Fire and Rescue and other security situations.
Kenley concludes "we are offering eyeShare currently mainly for IT usage, but there is nothing in the software that would prevent usage by Fire, Police, Ambulance, Rescue, Military or any other service that requires fast reaction to emergencies via computer software interacting with key personnel. In fact we are bidding eyeShare to some Fire and Rescue services as we speak and the solution can even help with homeland security too."
