Pink Ribbon Tattoos Commemerating Breast Cancer Awarness
Elite Ink LLC and Discount Tattoos and Piercing has scheduled October 23, 2009 as free breast cancer ribbon tattoo day to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to benefit The Pink Fund.
The awareness campaign is run by John Motyka owner and tattoo artist who currently operates 3 studios in the Metro Detroit area. Appointments are being scheduled for the Centerline and Southfield locations for October 23rd. "We wanted to create this exclusive event to help raise Breast Cancer awareness and to benefit The Pink Fund. We will provide free tattoos on a limited basis. Scheduled clients will have the opportunity to make a donation to The Pink Fund. The ribbon tattoos offer a permanent form of advertisement to spread the message all year round. “Early detection is extremely important for women, but many forget to conduct a monthly self exam”.
The mission of The Pink Fund is to provide short-term financial aid to women and men (and therefore their families) that is in active treatment for and recovery from breast cancer. The Pink Fund has been formed to help women (and men) focus on healing, raising their families and returning to the workplace. The Pink Fund will provide short term financial aid during the brief period of treatment and recovery. Literally millions of dollars are being raised for early detection, research and programs for the medically underserved. Families facing breast cancer urgently need financial help now.
