((CALGARY)) - MoboVivo Inc., a software company that enables broadcasters to distribute TV shows on mobile phones, laptops and set-top boxes, today announced that veteran Canadian media executive, Kevin Shea, had joined the company's inaugural Board of Directors.
"Kevin Shea is without question one of the most skilled and well-respected executives in Canada," said MoboVivo founder and CEO, Trevor Doerksen. "His unique breadth of experience and exceptional track record for growing world-class media companies brings tremendous vision and leadership to MoboVivo's board."
Shea's experience includes being the founding president and CEO of YTV, the former president and COO of the Global Television Network and Atlantis Communications, and leading the CRTC licensing and start-up of both Sirius Satellite Radio and the Life Network. He has also held senior roles on the boards of the Canadian Film Centre and the Banff Film Festival, and currently serves as Chairman of the Ontario Media Development Corporation.

Joining Shea and Doerksen on MoboVivo's board are Lew Turnquist and Pierre Magnan.
Turnquist is Managing Director at Kirchner Private Capital Group, a current board member at Calgary Economic Development, and Past President and CEO of VX Technologies.
Magnan is Partner in Gowling LLP's Calgary office. He has over 10 years experience steering clients through issues of corporate finance, M&A and private equity matters, including joint venture, partnership and strategic investment transactions.
