This week the Project to extend the Costa Cintera all the way to Casco Viejo has been approved in Panama City, Republic of Panana. This amazing coastal strip will then be 4 miles (7 kilometers) long and will dwarf some of the other famous coastal strips in Rio, Cape Town and Sydney.
Indeed the drive from start of Avenido Balboa along the Costa Cintera, past world heritage protected Casco Viejo and onto the Amador Causeway is one that must be taken on any visit to Central America. It is difficult to keep your eyes on the road while marveling at all the huge ships queuing up to pass through the Panama Canal. At the end of the Amador Causeway you will be greeted by a selection of restaurants that would fit in well anywhere in the world – all with astounding views.
