Her creativity and strength as a songwriter is complimented by her blindness, as she draws much of the sociopolitical depth of her lyrics from her previous life experiences. Although Lachi is working on a full length album to supplement her highly praised EP “Ugly Beautiful”, she also works hard around the clock to promote and further the careers of other blind musicians in the New York City area. As an active member on the roster of the Visionary Media Company, an organization that promotes visually impaired musicians, Lachi has taken it upon herself to uncover and bring together some of the finest talent New York City’s blind community has to offer.
