Criminal Defense Attorney Leah Mayersohn Appeared Pro Hac Vice in NY to Help Client Beat a Weapons Charge
Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Ft. Lauderdale Criminal Defense Attorney Leah H. Mayersohn, of the Mayersohn Law Group, P.A., successfully appeared pro hac vice, literal meaning “for the occasion,” in Kew Gardens, NY to help her client beat a weapons charge.
Mayersohn’s client was a Seminole Tribe Member living in Tampa, Florida who traveled to New York for the opening of the new Yankee Stadium. While in the New York, Mayersohn’s client went into the city to shop. One of her purchases was a Burberry pocket knife key chain. On her way back to Florida, Mayersohn’s client was stopped at airport security and arrested for criminal possession of a weapon. Mayersohn flew to New York to argue on behalf of her client and had a felony charge reduced to a civil infraction.
