Frank Ho, the founder of Ho Math and Chess, based in Canada, is very pleased to announce that a franchisee in Livermore, California, USA has joined Ho Math and Chess team.
Ho Math and Chess Livermore, California, USA is managed and owned by Ms. Katherine Czarnik. Katherine is a professional educator with a California Teaching Credential.
She received her teaching credential in 1992 and has been teaching design using computers as well as more traditional drawing methods. She found that graphic art principles integrated with math are a must when teaching symmetry, proportion, tessellations, vortices, angles, degrees and other concepts used in draw programs. Many of her class projects became award-winning entries into the Young California section of the Alameda County Fair and the California State Fair in Sacramento.
Chess has been her hobby that recently expanded when she went to work as an instructor at a Computer Learning Center. When children were waiting for their turn, she pulled out a chess set and began teaching chess to children as young as five years old. Looking for methods and the philosophy of teaching chess to children is how she delightedly found Ho Math and Chess. Using chess to teach math is a bonus for both subjects. Katherine has completed the math and chess integrated training course and is certified to teach math and chess integrated workbooks.
