Criminal Defense Attorney Leah Mayersohn Successfully Obtains a No Information Filing in a Domestic Violence Case for a Nurse
West Palm Beach, FL – Ft. Lauderdale Criminal Defense Attorney Leah H. Mayersohn, of the Mayersohn Law Group, P.A., successfully obtained a no information filing in a domestic violence battery case.
Mayersohn’s client was a nurse that got involved in an altercation with her sister, who was diagnosed with mental health issues. The sister had initially assaulted their mother. When Mayersohn’s client went to approach her sister regarding her behavior toward their mother, the sister had turned and assaulted Mayersohn’s client. Law enforcement was called and all three were arrested. Wanting to ensure her reputation and job as a nurse were not jeopardized from this incident, Mayersohn’s client sought the defense of Mayersohn Law Group P.A.
Mayersohn presented evidence to the case filing attorneys at the Palm beach County State Attorney’s Office to show that her client acted in self defense. All charges where dropped and Mayersohn’s client, the nurse, avoided licensing issues.
