THOMAS WATKISS RELEASES ANCESTOR II : MACHINE
After a 13 month studio intervention from the release of Phase I : Silence, Thomas Watkiss has released Ancestor II : Machine. The album is available as a Special Edition double CD digipack now from www.thomaswatkiss.net and from independent outlets worlwide.
ANCESTOR II : MACHINE is constructed of a delicate combination of digital synthesis, field recordings and sharp editing techniques giving the listener a rigid and cold reflection our modern world. A clinical departure from 2008's Phase I : Silence, the album showcases nine tracks of new material that create bleak, tense and vivid images as mirrored in the album layout by the artist.
The Special edition includes the bonus disc, Live at Lydgalleriet. The live show was recorded from the gallery in Bergen Norway while Watkiss was on residence in the Summer and Fall of 2008. The bonus disc is only available with the limited special edition CD.
