Oct. 2, 2009 - PRLog -- Ivor Wynne Stadium, home of the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) Hamilton-Ontario Tiger-Cats, was the setting for two colossal events last weekend—the upset win by Montreal and the explosive pre-game performance by hot new artists, Blac Soap. Seif and Fly Beads (Blac Soap) kicked off their whirlwind tour of Toronto with stops around the city and non-stop photo ops with fans, retailers and local comrades, The Stylordz and Mac Break Club, Toronto’s infamous B-Boy (Hip-Hop dance) crew.

Blac Soap performed their breakthrough single, “80’s Boom Box”, to an electrifying crowd of 22,000 spectators on September 25th before kick-off. The live performance, action shots and crowd scenes will be incorporated into their new video for the single—along with a sequence by the Stylordz and Blac Soap themselves. In addition to filming the video, the group made stops at Boys & Girls Clubs around the city, clothing retailers, and a community event geared toward educating the public about safe sex practices and AIDS awareness.  Blac Soap will head to Dallas on Friday, October 2nd with their record label to begin production on their next music video while “80’s Boom Box” heads to post-production.

“What we’re launching is a movement…a mission bigger than just making records. We’re working [hard] to move the culture forward—and with partners like the Canadian Football League we’re reaching a broad market quickly.  Blac Soap encapsulates Hip-Hop in its most organic state—and they illustrate this through their colorful style, music, writing, personas and actions,” says Thomas “FAT Thomi” Hairston, President of X Records.

Fly Beads feels that timing is everything: “Our music is filling a space that has been vacant in the urban genre for several years. We have a futuristic sound and approach that’s different from a lot of artists in heavy rotation right now.  However, we stay true to the elements that made Hip-Hop so unique in the beginning while still being radio-friendly. This is a formula that can’t lose and the fans in Canada showed us that they love this music”.

Jamie Perez of Hamilton, Ontario shouted, “I love their style and the catchy hook to “80’s Boom Box”.  My friends and I will definitely be requesting it on the radio all over Toronto”!
